A federal judge on Friday said he would not stop the U.S. Forest Service from transferring government-owned land in Arizona to Rio Tinto Plc for its Resolution Copper project, denying a request from Native Americans who said the land has religious and cultural import.
Hudbay to Drill on Western Slope of Santa Ritas
As reported by Green Valley News, Hudbay Minerals, owner of Rosemont Mine, is planning to do exploration drilling on the western slope of the Santa Rita Mountains starting Oct. 1.
Florence Copper Wins Decisive Court Victory
Friday, May 7, 2020, the Arizona Court of Appeals decisively ruled that Florence Copper's permit to operate its Production Test Facility is valid and meets all the requirements of state law. This is a great decision and certainly a welcome one.
